Pulaski County deputy judge-executive charged with DUI
Pulaski County Deputy Judge-Executive Dan Price was arrested Monday night and charged with DUI.
Kentucky State Police says a trooper noticed a white Chevy Tahoe weaving on Kentucky 80 just after 8 p.m. Monday.
“And it also crossed the fog line. That gave him an indication there was something going on with that vehicle," said Trooper Scottie Pennington.
KSP says Price was pulled over, and the trooper could smell alcohol coming from the SUV and Price.
Price told the trooper he had just left a business meeting, and he was in his county-issued vehicle.
KSP and county officials could not say where Price was coming from, but that he was in a meeting with a developer concerning the county's industrial park before the arrest.
KSP says Price did not pass several field sobriety tests and he refused breathalyzer, blood and urine tests.
The Pulaski County Judge-Executive Steve Kelley told WKYT there's not much he can say about the arrest. Kelley says he's still investigating the situation.
Kelley told WKYT Price is still on the job.
Troopers later arrested Price and charged him with DUI, careless driving, and failure to use a signal properly.
Price was taken to jail and has since been released.
