Emergency crews were called out to a bad crash Tuesday night on Versailles Road near Man O' War Blvd.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. near the Keeneland gate on Versailles Road.

According to investigators, a car traveling outbound was speeding and rear-ended another car. The impact killed 56-year-old Robert Myers. Myers was driving the car that was hit from behind.

Myers was the Executive Chef at the Lexington Country Club. He also ran Dandelion Hollow Farm in Perryville making products that were sold across central Kentucky. Friends of Myers tell us he leaves behind a wife and eight children.

Police have not identified the other driver, but did says a woman in her 30's was in the other car.

Investigators have not filed criminal charges at this time.

Both inbound and outbound lanes of Versailles Road were shut down well into Wednesday morning. Police reopened both sides before 9 a.m.

Walden Funeral Home in Perryville is handling Myers' arrangements.
