Emergency crews have rescued a 90-year-old woman trapped inside a home after a mudslide Monday morning.

The mud slid down a hill and into the home on North Bend Road in Stanton. Emergency crews say the home has extensive damage.

Firefighters from Lexington and Winchester helped with the rescue.

"She was in a little void space that was a matter of inches, and basically when she came out she said that she was asleep in bed when all that happened," Stanton Fire Department Assistant Chief Eddie Barnes said.

The elderly woman rescued is said to be in good shape. She is going to the hospital for a checkup.
