Traffic on Interstate 75 was rerouted Wednesday morning after a semi caught fire in Rockcastle County.

The driver told Kentucky State Police that he heard a popping noise just before midnight. When he got out to check on his truck near mile marker 55, he says the trailer was on fire.

Trying to put the flames out himself, police said the driver suffered some minor burns to his arms.

Southbound I-75 was shut down between mile markers 59 and 49 for more than four hours.
