LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Charlotte Hornets have drafted former UK guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with the eleventh pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Gilgeous-Alexander will ultimately be making his way to the Los Angeles Clippers by way of a trade with the Hornets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 6’6, 180-pound freshman standout came into the NCAA as the seventh ranked freshman in Kentucky’s recruiting class.
His performance this season outshined many pre-season projections, ultimately landing him within the top-10 of many NBA mock drafts.
Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 14.4 points per-game for the Wildcats this season, shooting a solid 48 percent from the field and 40 percent beyond the arc.
