MT. STERLING, Ky. (WKYT) - A Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy says slick roads may have played a role in a deadly crash on US 60 Thursday morning.

A car appears to have slid off the road, just outside Mt. Sterling. The car struck a tree.

Sheriff's deputies say a passenger in the vehicle died after being rushed to UK Hospital.

Salt trucks were seen on US 60, around 9:30 am Thursday, as heavier snow began to fall in the county.
