Some long lines, machine issues at Lexington polling locations
Some voters looking to cast a ballot early Tuesday morning ran into long lines and a few problems.
A precinct official at Saint Luke United Methodist Church on Alumni Drive told us the voting machines were not working properly just after the polls opened at 6 a.m. The problem was quickly resolved.
Fayette County Clerk Don Blevins said there are always a few issues with voting machines at the start of each election. He says all issues were resolved by 6:30 Tuesday morning, and that this election is off to a smooth start.
At Harrison Elementary, voters started lining up about 30 minutes before the polls opened.
Some voters reported long lines, but most said their line moved quickly. Other voters told WKYT they were in and out with no troubles.
