Suspects in Clark County double homicide plead not guilty

Eight suspects connected to the shooting deaths of two Winchester teenagers appeared in front of a judge Thursday.

Matthew Carmen, Ronnie Ellis, Denzel Hill, Darian Skinner, Mikaela Buford, Julia Richardson, and Jessica Burton plead not guilty in front of the judge on Thursday.

All the suspects are charged in connection with a shooting on November 7. The shooting happened on November 7 in the parking lot of Washington Street Apartments on Washington Street. Adrianna Castro and Kayla Holland, both 16, were killed.

Brian Mcintosh's arraignment will be continued January 18.

The Winchester Sun reports Matthew Carmen, Ronnie Ellis, Denzil Hill, and Darian Skinner were each indicted on two counts of murder. Police say the four men fired shots, killing the two teens.

Mikaela Buford was indicted with complicity to commit murder and Julia Richardson was indicted with tampering with physical evidence.

Two others, Brian McIntosh and Jessica Burton were indicted for first-degree hindering apprehension relating to the arrest of Matthew Carmen.

Carmen, Ellis, Hill, Skinner, Buford, and Richardson will appear in from of a judge again on March 15.

A hearing for McIntosh and Burton has been set for January 18th.
