Hal Rogers Parkway back open in Clay Co. after hazmat fire

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Hal Rogers Parkway is back open in Clay County after a fire involving a truck carrying hazardous materials.

Dispatchers in Clay County tell WKYT that a box trailer caught fire on the Parkway, not far from the Paces Creek exit. According to dispatcher, the truck was hauling some kind of spray foam.

No one was injured.

The roadway was closed in both directions from Manchester to Big Creek. The state transportation department said the road reopened shortly before 12:30 p.m.
