Amy Caudill, a spokeswoman for the airport, says the report was made by the Transportation Security Administration.
A TSA spokesperson says a baggage screening officer noticed an image on a screen did not match a bag pulled for additional screening, which caused workers to rescreen all bags.
As a result, the airport had to hold ten outbound flights between 5:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
TSA apologized to passengers who were delayed, but one person traveling to Honolulu says he actually benefitted from the baggage discrepancy.
"I was supposed to go this morning, and I got delayed, but now I get one flight rather than two, so it is working out to my benefit," Rodney Hollowell said.
