Ten day celebration of craft beers beginning Friday
Lexington Craft Beer Week will feature events at breweries and restaurants starting Friday. Presented by LexbeerScene.com, the event will last from Friday, May 11 through Sunday, May 20.
To kick off the week, Blue Stallion Brewing and Ethereal will release their Lexipolitan Gose collaboration. Country Boy & West Sixth will also reveal their collaborative drink. Whitaker Bank Ballpark will feature specialty beers from Lexington breweries.
Blue Stallion Brewing will follow on Saturday with new bottle releases. Beer-centered events at Country Boy, Ethereal Brewing and The BLVD will boast trivia, tastings, and tap takeover. Rock House and Nate’s Coffee will host their second annual Coffee Beer Brewoff and West Sixth is set to have a Think Local, Drink Local VII event.
Bear & The Butcher, Alltech, Blue Stallion Brewing, Ethereal Brewing, Mirror Twin, Mr. Brews, and Oscar Diggs will celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday. From mimosas to food pairing and special brunch menus, the breweries will provide themed events throughout the day.
Monday begins with a Monnik tap takeover at Blue Stallion Brewing and a homebrewing meeting at West Sixth. Hopcat, Middle Fork, Mirror Twin Brewing, and Shamrock’s Patchen will also host events.
The list grows even longer for restaurants and breweries joining the fun on Tuesday: Arcadium, Blue Stallion, Ethereal, Goodfella’s, HopCat, Mirror Twin, Nick Ryan’s, and Winchell’s. With beer dinners, draft takeovers, and beer trivia, patrons are sure to find a place to celebrate.
The same breweries will open again on Wednesday. Rock House Brewing, Lexington Beerworks, West Sixth and Casual Pint will also open their doors for special tappings.
Thursday’s activities will be offered at the same locations, along with Belle’s Bar, Mr. Brews, OBC Kitchen, Pies and Pints, and The Beer Trappe.
