FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Governor's Office has announced a way for one person to push the ceremonial plunger for the Capital Plaza Tower demolition in Frankfort.

Governor Matt Bevin and First Lady Glenna Bevin say they are holding an online auction to push the ceremonial plunger. The proceeds will go toward the First Lady's #WeAreKY! foundation, which looks to better the lives of vulnerable children and families.

The winner will push the plunger at the scheduled Mar. 11 demolition time of 1:30 p.m. The individual will also receive tickets to a luncheon hosted by the First Lady's foundation.

The auction will be open to the public through Mar. 10 at 5 p.m.

The 28-story tower is the largest building in Frankfort, and it housed various state offices until 2016.
