LARUE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Three members of an Amish family were sent to the hospital after a truck hit their buggy Wednesday morning.

It happened near the LaRue and Hardin County line on South Dixie Highway, not far from Interstate 65.

Kentucky State Police say a man and his two children were thrown out of the buggy.

One of the children was still in a Louisville hospital Wednesday night, but is expected to be okay.

Police say the family's horse, which was pulling the buggy, had to be put down.
