MANCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - Two men were arrested Friday after police say they were found with drugs in their car.

Police say they went to investigate a complaint that two men were in a Volkswagon Beetle in the parking lot of the CMR Quick Stop, possibly using drugs.

When investigators arrived, the vehicle left the parking lot, but made an illegal left turn from Old US 421 onto the four lane.

Detectives were able to get the car to pull over, and the driver reportedly consented to investigators searching the car.

Officers say they found methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Jimmy, the driver of the vehicle, and Larry Maxie were arrested and charged with drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges.

They were taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
