LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - Emergency officials closed northbound lanes of I-75 near London after a fatal wreck Monday evening.
The Kentucky State Police says they expect the interstate to be closed at least five more hours as investigators reconstruct the scene.
The crash scene is about 300 yards long. Five cars were involved in the accident, plus a semi-truck.
Police say cars were at a standstill because of another crash, then the semi hit a car and started a domino effect.
The crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. in Laurel County just north of exit 41.
One woman has died. Police say they do not know how many people are hurt or the extent of their injuries at this time.
