LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT)- While a Laurel County Sheriff's Deputy was attending church, a wanted fugitive began beating on the church's windows.

Deputy Brad Mink with the Laurel County Sheriff's Department arrested Donnie Carroll age 40 of Cumberland, Kentucky on Sunday morning.

Deputies say a fellow church member contacted Deputy Mink, a member of the church, about a disturbance outside. Upon further investigation, Deputy Mink discovered Carroll was beating on the church windows.

When Deputy Mink made contact with Carroll, he learned that he was a wanted fugitive.

Deputies said when Mink was continuing his investigation, Carroll fled on foot. Deputies followed him and made an arrest after chasing him through numerous residential properties.

Carroll was charged with fleeing or evading police, disorderly conduct, five counts of wanton endangerment, and resisting arrest.

The Sheriff's Department did not release why Carroll was banging on the windows of the church.
