Where to get tested for COVID-19

On Wednesday, Governor Andy Beshear, D-Kentucky, announced more drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites to open in Kentucky.

There are different options for people in different locations. Below is a list of information on how, where and when you can get tested.

Kroger testing sites:

  • Lexington
    Bluegrass Community & Technical College

    April 27 - May 1 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Frankfort
    Franklin County Fairgrounds
    118 Park Ave, Frankfort, KY 40601
  • Somerset
    Center for Rural Development

  • Independence
    Summit View Academy

  • Pikeville

Kroger testing is open to everyone who needs a test.

 

Walgreens testing site:
  • Lexington
    2296 Executive Drive, Lexington, KY 40505
    Seven days a week, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Testing will be available at no cost to eligible individuals who meet criteria established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Patients will need to pre-register in advance in order to schedule an appointment for testing.

 

Jessamine County:

The test is available to anyone.


Rockcastle County:

Rockcastle Regional Hospital will be performing community-wide drive-through COVID-19 testing beginning April 27 through May 1, from noon to 6 p.m.

In order to be tested, it is not required to be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and there is no age requirement. However, it is recommended that after testing, you should self-isolate until your results are known.

Individuals who wish to be tested must first contact the Rockcastle Regional COVID-19 Hotline at (606) 256-7385 to register and schedule their testing. Patient registration will be conducted over the phone through the Hotline prior to testing.

The drive-through testing area will be staged in the parking garage below the Rockcastle Family Wellness building. When coming to the hospital, please enter via Newcomb Avenue and follow signage.

Morgan County:

Morgan County ARH Family Health will hold free COVID-19 screening and testing Monday thru Friday until May 8th. The drive-thru clinic will run from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. This is only a partial list and will be updated as more testing sites become available.
