Whitley County murder suspect on the run since May arrested

A murder suspect who was on the run for months is now in jail.
Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith said Nicholas Rucker was arrested in Corbin on July 4.
Sheriff Smith said deputies received a tip that Rucker was at a home on Meadow Lark Circle. Deputies went to the house and spotted a man coming out of a woodline and walking toward the house.
The deputy said he recognized the subject to be Rucker. The deputy said he yelled at Rucker, who then ran into the back door of the home and ran out the front door.
Rucker continued running down Meadow Lark Circle before deputies tackled him.
Sheriff Smith said Rucker was arrested after a brief struggle.

remained elusive for several weeks.
Rucker is charged with murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, fleeing or evading police, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and drug paraphernalia.
