Suspect wanted for Richmond murder captured in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have captured a man wanted for murder in Richmond.

Lexington Police captured Eltron Bailey on Monday afternoon. Richmond Police accuse Bailey and his twin brother, Elton Bailey of murdering Jaicoatai Dean, 21, on Foxhaven Drive in Richmond on October 7.

Police captured Eltron on Newtown Pike. Lexington Police charged him with carrying a concealed weapon, parole violation, persistent felony offender, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking a controlled substance (heroin, and violation of conditions of release.

Police also charged Kierra Berry with hindering prosecution or apprehension.

On November 2, the U.S. Marshal's Service warned Berry that it was illegal to help Eltron Bailey avoid arrest for an outstanding murder charge, according to her arrest citation.

On November 12, Lexington police say they spotted Berry driving Bailey. He fled the car and got away.

The next day, police say they saw Berry driving Bailey again. Lexington Police also arrested her Monday on Newtown Pike.

Both will be arraigned Tuesday.

Elton Bailey is still on the run.
