TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WKYT) -- For the first time since 2013, Alabama beat No. 13 Kentucky 77-75 to snap a 10-game losing streak against the Wildcats.
The Crimson Tide (10-3) led 68-58 with 4:57 to play and the Wildcats (10-3) stormed back to cut the lead to 76-75 with six seconds left, but a Tyler Herro three was off the mark at the buzzer to give Alabama the win.
All five Kentucky starters finished in double figures led by PJ Washington with 15 points and seven rebounds. Tyler Herro, Reid Travis and Ashton Hagans finished with 12 points and Keldon Johnson scored 13.
All five Alabama starters finished in double figures as well led by Tevin Mack's 22 points.
Kentucky returns to Lexington on January 8 to host Texas A&M.
