Allen, Stallings named First-Team All-America by TheAthletic.com

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky senior offensive guard Jervontius “Bunchy” Stallings and linebacker Josh Allen were named first-team All-America on Wednesday by TheAthletic.com.

The award for Stallings, a senior from McComb, Miss., follows first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors from The Associated Press and SEC coaches.

Allen, a senior from Montclair, New Jersey, has already received the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, signifying the National Defensive Player of the Year, and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year by the AP and SEC coaches. He also is a finalist for the Walter Camp National Player of the Year, the Butkus Award (nation’s best linebacker), the Chuck Bednarik Award (defensive player of the year), the Lott IMPACT Trophy (defensive player of the year) and Ted Hendricks Award (defensive end of the year).
