Douglass lineman commits to Clemson

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Frederick Douglass offensive tackle Walker Parks has committed to play at Clemson, the player announced via Twitter.

Parks made an unofficial visit to Clemson on Saturday, where he saw the Tigers whip previously unbeaten North Carolina State, 41-7.

“After my visit this weekend I am very honored to say I am committed to Clemson University,” Parks posted on his Twitter account early Sunday evening.

Parks is a 6-foot5, 253-pound junior who is rated the No. 2 overall prospect in Kentucky for the Class of 2020 by ESPN. He’s ranked the No. 22 offensive tackle in the country.

Parks held offers from Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Northwester, Purdue, Cincinnati and Vandy.

Parks’ father, David, was an offensive lineman at UK.
