LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Keldon Johnson led the Wildcats in scoring at 20 points per game in a pair of wins over Winthrop and Tennessee State last week and has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week.

Johnson's career-high 27 points against Tennessee State is the most by any UK player this season. He also made 13 free throws Friday night, the most since De'Aaron Fox made the same against UCLA in 2017.

Kentucky has won more weekly SEC honors (90) than any other school during the John Calipari era.

The Wildcats return to action on Wednesday at 8:30 against Monmouth. The game will air live on the SEC Network.
