LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Volleyball team is set to host the Florida Gators in a spooky high stakes matchup on Halloween night.
In what is looking to be Kentucky’s hardest battle of the season, the Wildcats are hoping to extend their perfect season and add onto their 13-match winning streak. With a win over Florida, Kentucky would match its longest winning streak under Coach Craig Skinner.
In light of the stakes of Wednesday’s match, the Kentucky team is pulling out all of the stops to make sure Memorial Coliseum is full of spectators. The Wildcats will be hosting a costume contest, and are encouraging all fans to cheer them on in style.
As it currently stands, the Wildcats sit atop the SEC, but Florida is coming into the match with a 19-4 record and a slew of big wins against teams like No. 2 Nebraska and No. 7 Southern California.
The match will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 31 in Memorial Coliseum.
