LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Some Kentucky fans catching a last-minute flight voiced displeasure after not being able to deplane following landing in Florida for more than an hour.

Multiple passengers on Twitter said Allegiant Air 2163 has landed at Orlando Sanford International Airport, but they weren't able to get off the plane until about an hour before the 1 p.m. Citrus Bowl kickoff. Flightaware reports the flight landed 12 minutes early at 10:42 a.m. following an 8:49 a.m. takeoff.

Fans have been tweeting to Allegiant for help in order to expedite the process. The company would later tweet at 12:19 p.m. the passengers were able to deplane.

A company spokesperson tells WKYT a power issue at the gate is the likely reason for the delay.

It takes fans approximately 35 minutes to drive from the airport to Camping World Stadium.
