JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WKYT) -- Kentucky beat Wofford on Saturday afternoon 62-56 to advance to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
The Wildcats stifled Wofford's best scorer, Fletcher Magee, holding him to only eight points. Magee went 0 of 12 from behind the arc.
Kentucky's Reid Travis tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds in the nail-biting win. Guard Ashton Hagans scored 12 points in the matchup.
Down 24-18 with 4:19 left in the first half, Kentucky finished the half on a 10-2 run to take a 28-26 lead over Wofford at halftime.
The game remained close throughout, but the Terriers couldn't match Kentucky's length and athleticism.
The Wildcats will face either Houston or Ohio State in Kansas City next Friday in the Sweet 16.
