LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Wildcats have opened as a slight road favorite ahead of their matchup against in-state rival Louisville.
BetOnline listed the No. 16 Wildcats as a one-point favorite against Louisville in a pivotal matchup between two teams looking for a key nonconference win before the new year. Kentucky opens SEC play in Tuscaloosa Jan. 5 against Alabama.
Kentucky is coming off a signature nonconference win over North Carolina in Chicago last Saturday to bring their record to 9-2.
While Kentucky has dominated the rivalry in the past decade, Louisville has won two of its last three games in the rivalry when playing as the home side. Louisville has won its last three games since a close loss to Indiana, and a win could propel them into the AP Top 25.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2.
