ORLANDO, Fla. (WKYT) -- Kentucky quarterback Terry Wilson has had his up and down moments in his first true season as a college field general, but the one receiver who really helped Wilson develop as a passer is Lynn Bowden.
The sophomore from Youngstown, Ohio has been Wilson's favorite target. He has 62 catches for 661 yards and five touchdowns. Bowden also had a unique way of looking at the relationship between QB and receiver.
"You know it's like a peanut butter and jelly relationship," said Bowden. "You can't have the peanut butter without the jelly. Me, I love peanut butter and jelly so I know what it's like. Me and Terry, when he first got here we weren't really that close. Right now though I can tell you he's like a brother to me. I just found out that I was older than him yesterday so now I've got some room to pick with him. The peanut butter! Yeah, the peanut butter."
For clarification, Lynn said he is the peanut butter and Terry is the jelly.
The Citrus Bowl between Kentucky and Penn State is set for January 1 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
