Mayo sets EKU scoring record in 95-77 loss at Xavier

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - EKU senior Nick Mayo entered Saturday's game at Xavier seven points shy of the school's all-time scoring record. Midway through the first half, Mayo broke the record with his second three-pointer of the game.

Mayo passing Matt Witt's (2002-06) mark of 1,832 points.

Mayo finished the game with 25 points, but Xavier took control in the second half on their way to the 95-77 win.

Up next Eastern Kentucky plays at Duquesne next Saturday.
