TROY, Ala. (WKYT) -- Danville native and former Kentucky assistant coach Neal Brown has signed a six-year deal worth 19 million dollars to be the new head coach at West Virginia University.
Neal is one of six FBS coaches to win ten or more games in each of the last three years and he led Troy to three straight bowl wins.
"On behalf of my wife, Brooke, and our children, Adalyn, Anslee and Dax, we are thrilled to join the Mountaineer Football Family and become a part of Mountaineer Nation," Brown said.
"We will work hard, play hard and do things the right way to make the people from the great state of West Virginia proud of their program. That will be a foundational element of our culture. I can't wait to meet our team and get to work," said Brown.
