LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) Henry Clay pulled off the biggest win of the season last night knocking off No.2 Trinity 52-50.
The Blue Devils Harris Hawkins, who had 16 points, hit a 3-pointer with 1:20 remaining giving the Blue Devils the lead for good. Trinity, who won the won the Louisville Invitational Tournament, led by six on two occasions but Henry Clay kept battling back.
Keaston Brown, son of Henry Clay Coach Daniel Brown, led the Blue Devils with 18 points who have won eight of their last nine games.
The Blue Devils (18-4) have a gauntlet ahead of them with three consecutive road games with Lafayette, Madison Central, and Scott County.
Trinity (15-6) welcomes Madison Central to Louisville January 25.
