Purdue center chooses BYU over Kentucky

Purdue big man Matt Haarms will finish his college career at Brigham Young.

Haarms, a 7-foot-3 graduate center, is transferring and picked the Cougars over Kentucky and Texas Tech.

BYU is coached by former Wildcat Mark Pope.

Haarms averaged 8.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2 blocks per game last season for the Boilermakers.
