Rockets sign former Morehead State star Kenneth Faried

HOUSTON (WKYT) -- Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced Monday the signing of free agent forward Kenneth Faried.

Faried spent his first seven seasons with the Nuggets prior to being acquired by Brooklyn last summer.

Faried was the 22nd pick by Denver in the 2011 NBA Draft following his senior season at Morehead State. In 453 career games with 372 starts, Faried is averaging 11.3 points and 8.1 rebounds in 24.5 minutes per game. He has the eighth-highest field goal percentage (.544) among active qualifiers.

In a related move, the Rockets have waived forward James Nunnally, who was a on a 10-day contract.
