Scott County baseball coach diagnosed with West Nile virus

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - The Scott County High School baseball team has announced head coach Scott Willard has West Nile virus.

The team tweeted Wednesday evening Willard tested positive for the virus after being hospitalized.

Willard was taken to the hospital days prior, but doctors had to test for various viruses before an official diagnosis.

Willard also serves as an assistant on the Scott County High School football team.
