LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Pendleton County star and Kentucky basketball signee Dontaie Allen will miss the remainder of his senior season with a torn ACL in his left knee.
Allen suffered the injury during a game on December 22 against Cooper. Initially, the injury was not believed to be severe, but Allen broke the news on Twitter Wednesday that his season was over.
The injury and recovery time could potentially affect his freshman season at UK. Coach John Calipari would discuss the knee injury with Allen Wednesday.
Allen averaged 42.9 points and 14.2 rebounds in twelve games this season.
The Pendleton County star will have surgery in Lexington Tuesday.
