UK's Williams a finalist for national soccer player of year

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Junior forward JJ Williams has been named one of three finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, the top individual honor in Division 1 soccer.

The winner will be announced on Jan. 4 in St. Louis.

Williams led UK with 18 goals - 3rd nationally. His nine game winners was 9th best in the country. He finished with 44 total points, which also was 3rd nationally.

Williams was selected as a first-team All-American, was the Conference USA Offensive MVP and was the league's Player of the Year.
