LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky forward JJ Williams was selected 18th overall on Friday by the Columbus Crew SC in the Major League Soccer Super Draft.
Williams played three years for the Wildcats. This season he finished third in the country with 18 goals, including nine game winners. The Kentucky soccer team made a run to the Elite Eight, the best finish in program history.
Williams was named first-team All-American and Conference USA Player of the Year.
