Search underway for missing woman

Shelly Kay Schoffner

Police are asking for help finding an Ohio woman who was last seen in Kentucky.

Police say 42-year-old Shelly Kay Schoffner, of Delphos, Ohio, was last seen by her boyfriend on March 21.

Police say on that day, Schoffner was following her boyfriend in another vehicle, as they entered into Kentucky from Ohio on southbound I-75.

The boyfriend told police he later received a text message from Schoffner, claiming she did not love him anymore and was leaving him.

While Schoffner is from Ohio, police say she and her boyfriend had recently been living with the boyfriend's son in the Big Hill Road area of Berea.

Police say Schoffner was last seen in a blue Nissan 4x4 pickup with an unknown registration.

Schoffner's boyfriend told police she may be with a man named Ralphie, or another man named Vern.

Anyone with information on Schoffner's whereabouts is asked to call Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555.
