LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - If you are a fan of basketball, Lexington is the place to be this weekend.
The KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 tournament continues in Lexington. Paul Lawrence Dunbar plays Bowling Green Friday afternoon at 1:30 to try and advance to the final four. South Laurel will play South Oldham Friday night at eight.
The first and second rounds of the 2016 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship will be played in Lexington this weekend. Those games are being played Saturday and Monday at Memorial Coliseum.
The Kentucky women will be playing in the tournament and will have home court advantage. This is the team's seventh consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, which is a school record. They'll take on UNC Ashville at four on Saturday. The game will air on ESPN2.
Before that game, the Oklahoma women's team will face off against Purdue at 1:30. There are still some tickets available to Saturday's games. You can get them at Ukhoopstix.com, the Joe Craft Center ticket office or by calling the UK Ticket Office at 1-800-928-2287.
With the Kentucky men's team playing Indiana Saturday afternoon at 5:15 you can bet restaurants are going to be packed.
Also, with a couple thousand extra people in town for various basketball games, there will be extra traffic.
