LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - The Ohio River is at crest right now, but it could be a while before it's below flooding stage. Flooding has closed River Road from Third Street to Eight Street and eliminated outdoor parking lots in those areas. Another problem is Third Street ramp off Interstate 64 is closed.
Some parking structures are also flooded such as the lowest level of the Ali Center's parking garage. With high water behind the Yum Center, another issue that hasn't been worked out yet is where team buses will go.
"Where they typically park may not be available so we're certainly working on a new plan for all the team buses and I'm not exactly sure where that will be just yet. We're still watching the flooding and how that may change between now and Wednesday," said Sandra Moran, KFC Yum! Center's Director of Marketing.
Moran says they're working on a traffic plan with Louisville police to try to make things flow as easily as possible. It will include directing people to use the Ninth Street ramp and alternative ways into the city.
She says once the plan is ready, it will be posted at kfcyumcenter.com.
