LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Lexington Division of Police arrested a woman after they say she exploited a person that she was hired to care for.
Kacie Janov, 28, of Lancaster was arrested on Tuesday and charged with exploitation of an adult.
According to an arrest citation, Janov racked up more than $5,000 on the victim's credit card since January. They say the privately paid caregiver then sold those items for cash at pawn shops.
Janov was paid to assist the victim with day-to-day tasks because the victim suffers from physical disabilities.
Janov is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
