Firefighters battle large fire at farm in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Firefighters were called to the scene of a fire on Huffman Mill Pike Thursday evening.

Firefighters on the scene say it was an office building on Parkland Farm that caught fire around 9pm. When they arrived on the scene, they say flames were visible from the building.

Lexington Fire Chief Joe Best says there was a barn with animals near the office building, but firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to that building. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters say their biggest challenge was getting water to the scene for the fire. They had to leave the scene to get water back up to the barn.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
