MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Montgomery County bus driver who was charged with driving under the influence appeared in court on Thursday morning.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brian Fletcher, 59, at Camargo Elementary School last month.

A citation obtained by WKYT shows Fletcher's breath alcohol level was 0.068 percent. For commercial vehicle operators in Kentucky, anything above 0.04 percent results in criminal charges.

Fletcher entered a not guilty plea in Montgomery County District Court. The judge set a pre-trial conference for September 15th. The judge is also waiting for the results of a blood test taken from Fletcher at the time of the incident.

Fletcher has been suspended from his job with the Montgomery County School system.

Montgomery County Schools Superintendent Matt Thompson told WKYT's Caitlin Centner, "Our families trust us every day. Anytime we have an employee, or anyone, that breaks that trust, we take that very seriously."
