Murder suspect who surrendered to police due in court

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The man charged in Lexington's most recent murder will go before a judge to answer to the charges.

28-year-old Brandon Lamont Bailey turned himself in to Lexington Police on Monday. Police have been trying to find him since early December.

Lexington police interviewed an eyewitness shortly after Anthony Logan was shot and killed at an apartment complex on Cambridge Drive on Saturday, December 1st. According to an arrest warrant, the eyewitness was able to identify Brandon Bailey from a lineup as the man that they saw shoot Logan.

Logan suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to UK Hospital where he died. Family members tell WKYT that Logan was just days away from his 23rd birthday when he was murdered.

Bailey will be arraigned in Fayette District Court on Tuesday afternoon at one.
