Pilot injured after small plane crashes in Hopkins County

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A pilot was injured after the single-engine plane he was flying crash landed in Hopkins County on Monday afternoon.

WEVV-TV in Evansville reports that a single engine Piper airplane crashed behind a church in Dawson Springs near Kentucky Highway 109.

Hopkins County Emergency Management reports that the pilot was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Federal Aviation Investigators are currently on the way to the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
