WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Several people were rescued Saturday evening at Muir Valley after some flash flooding on Devil's Creek wiped out some bridges.
According the the Wolfe County Search & Rescue Team's Facebook page, the rain on Saturday caused Devil's Creek to flood and washed away one bridge, while covering another with water. With no bridges, about 50 rock climbers were stranded.
The search and rescue team was called in, and they helped secure crossing points to make sure that climbers stayed out of the dangerous flood water. Then, team members helped climbers out the back.
