Two killed in McCreary County crash identified

MCCREARY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police are investigating after a deadly crash in McCreary County took the life of a father and son.

It happened just before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 27 at the intersection of JobCorp Hill Rd. in the Pine Knot Community.

Police say a Chevy Trailblazer crossed the median and struck a Buick Le Sabre head-on. The driver of the Le Sabre has been identified as Palace Anderson, 68. He died at the scene. His son was in the passenger seat. Samuel Anderson, 47, was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he later died.

The driver of the Trailblazer has been identified as Shea Coffey, 29. He was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.

Police say none of the people involved in the accident were wearing seat belts.
