Bluegrass Showcase set this weekend at Dunbar

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- The Joe B. Hall and Denny Crum Bluegrass Showcase, which tips off Nov. 28-29 at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, will feature 14 of the nation’s top high school basketball teams.

Several players identified as top University of Kentucky recruits will compete. Five or six of the top-ranked recruits in the country will be playing as well as five of the top 10 recruits. (Information on each game is attached.)

The 13-game showcase will include Homestead High School’s Caleb Swanigan, a center ranked eighth in the ESPN Top 100. Top-ranked 7-footer Thon Maker also will be in town with Orangeville Prep.

Other top recruits who will play include No. 2 ranked Josh Jackson (Prolific), No. 8 Terrance Ferguson (Prime), No. 20 Jamal Murray (Orangeville), No. 27 Isaac Humphries (La Lumiere) and No. 36 Mario Kegler (Arlington).

Games begin each day at 1 p.m. and run through the evening on Nov. 28 and 29.
