As Lexington put on a full-scale Pride Festival for the first time since 2019, people took to the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza downtown in a much happier mood than just 24 hours prior.

A fire started in the kitchen of the Hope Center early Friday evening. The sprinkler system was able to stop most of the fire by the time the fire department arrived, but the sprinklers flooded the floors.

Police told WKYT that after multiple attempts to make contact with the person police called in its emergency response team.

Georgetown Pediatrics is now offering the Pfizer vaccine for children under five years old and doctors are encouraging parents to get their children vaccinated.
