Man dead after Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are investigating a now deadly Lexington shooting.

Police say officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of River Park Drive at 12:44 Monday afternoon for a reported subject with a possible gunshot wound.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located a male subject with an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The Fayette County County Coroner identified the victim as 19-year-old Darius Gaston-Garner.

There is no suspect information available at this time.

Detectives are asking anyone in the area to check their surveillance cameras and contact Lexington Police if they have footage that can help with the investigation.
